The start of your adventure is upon arrival at Cairo International Airport. A representative will be waiting to meet you with a warm smile to assure your comfort during visa formalities and baggage claim. From there, you’ll be whisked away in a very private and comfortable transfer to your very own centrally located 3-star hotel in Cairo.

Once you have checked in and refreshed, the rest of the day will be on your own to either relax or walk around the neighborhood. You could take a walk on the Nile Corniche, or simply grab a bite of traditional koshari and soak in the atmosphere before the major excursions commence. The guide meets you after breakfast to start a full-day tour of Cairo’s legendary highlights. First, at the Giza Plateau stand the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. These hours are followed by strolling through Islamic Cairo to see majestic mosques and malls.

With hearts larger than the sky, with stories of ancient gods and kings and the evolving city around them, you head back to your hotel.

Let’s go to magnificent Alexandria, towering over the Mediterranean. A trip to the town, which was founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC and colonized Roman and Greek periods of its rich history, is something you can’t miss if you are in Egypt. The drive from Cairo to Alexandria, covered within 2.5 hours in an A/C serviced car after the pick up, would be interesting if you appreciate history.

You will visit the unique Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, art merging Pharaonic, Greek, and Roman influences to demonstrate that influences collide inwardly. Moreover, the relatively new Serapeum and Pompey’s Pillar, a free-standing structure especially built to honor the ruler Diocletian, are well worth your while.

Moreover, there are many learning centers that show their structures designed in the same format, a modern version of the great library in Alexandria. It is just a library – it is a center for preservation of archaeology findings, a museum, an art gallery and even rare library.

When you are around and about in Alexandria, try and get a walk around using the ambling exterior of the Citadel of Qaitbay. This is a citadel located in the ruins of the famous Pharos lighthouse of Alexandria, which was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Enjoy the seafood offered by the shore as you watch the fish and squid being prepared while enjoying the sight of the Blue Mediterranean Sea.

Indulge in a scrumptious meal for guests staying at the hotel. Whenever it is safe to do so according to your flight itinerary, take a leisurely walk or trip to the local market to hunt for items such as decorative papyrus, engraved cartouches, and colorful ornaments from their region. If you don’t want to do more shopping, swimming can be an enjoyable activity for you in the Nile River, or a cup of coffee from any café with a better view of Cairo on the roof of a café.
